Twitdar lets you tell your location in a really unique way. You get a timer that does countdown for a specific amount of time before it finally sends a tweet.  It has ability to customize preset messages for quick status updates.

One interesting feature of the app is that you can choose intervals between automatic updates on basis of time or distance. So on the basis of your choice, Twitdar will update your location for certain number of meters or particular number of minutes lapsed. Again, you get the option to send the latitude/longitude coordinates, a Google map link to your location, or a link to a particular route chosen by you.
